The Osseo Marching Band Festival is
being held Saturday June 28, 2008 for the benefit of the students,
families, and friends of Osseo and the surrounding communities. Music arts
provides our children with life lessons including building high
self-esteem, teaching teamwork, providing an example of what can be
accomplished with practice, and friendship.
The Osseo Marching Band Festival is
about providing high school music students with a competitive venue where
they can present their talents in a unique format which is enjoyable to
parents, family, and friends. The result of their hard work, which
included weeks of drills and practices, is what you will see during this
music arts competition. We want our students to succeed so our communities
succeed.
Begin the day with a Breakfast
Buffet (Festival Fundraiser) served in the Osseo High School cafeteria
located at 317 2nd Ave NW from 7:30am to 10:30am.
At noon 1300 high school musicians
who perform in 12 different bands will be cheered on by thousands of proud
parents, friends, and visitors. High schools represented include Henry,
Lutheran Vanguard, Maple Grove, Milaca, Osseo, Park Center, St
Anthony-Spring Lake Park, St Cloud, St Michael-Albertville, Sibley, United
South Central, Waconia, and Winona Cotter.
Last year's festival was the second
biggest in the state. The festival gives students an opportunity to
showcase their talents while bringing the community together and enhancing
the quality of life for young and old alike.
