Society!

your day using this timeline...
From 12pm to 10pm; "Red Hat Lady"
lunch and dinner specials at local restaurants! Unique red and purple
alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Osseo's drinking establishments!
From 1pm to 4pm; Members of the Osseo
Business Association will offer special discounts, prizes, activities,
contests, giveaways, or gifts in their retail stores and business offices.
Look for a red hat sign on each door. Each business you visit will give you
"funny money" for stopping by. Be sure to keep this in a safe place.
From 3pm to 7pm:
Visit vendors at the Farmer's Market and Craft Fair.
From 4pm to 5pm; red hat sidewalk
parade kicks off at Boerboom Park. Prizes will be awarded for the best red
wagons decorated as red hat parade floats.
The Parade's Grand Marshall is none other
that Audra Weier, Klondike Kate 2008!
From 5pm to 6pm: Use the funny money
you collected to bid on valuable items in the Funny Money Auction in
Boerboom Park.
At 6pm; Mayor's Royal
Proclamation of Red Hat Day after which twenty pre-selected red hat ladies
will compete for prizes in the "Ms Red Hat and All That" inner beauty
pageant. The talent competition portion of the pageant requires the
creative use of a kazoo. Call 763-670-8800 for pageant registration
information.
At 7pm; End on a high note with
a free concert in the park! Entertainment for the evening is Classic Big
Band and the Nostalgics. Bring a snack and a blanket or lawn chair and
relive the sounds of famous big bands from the 40s and 50s.
